A Cancer Benefit and Bike Run will be held on Saturday, August 27, to benefit Aiden Remme of Brewster. Organizers of the Balaton Bike Run have held annual events to benefit cancer patients and veterans. “We want to support kids or young adults in need in the area,” Scott Thomasson, one of the organizers, explained.
100% of the funds raised will be donated to help benefit Aiden Remme and his family, as Aiden battles brain cancer. He was diagnosed in February, and has been undergoing chemotherapy treatments since that time. Aiden is the four-year-old son of Chris and Tracy Remme of Brewster.
September is recognized as Childhood Cancer Awareness month, and the Bike Run will help to kick off that awareness in the area this weekend.
