Results of Primary Election

With all votes tallied following the Tuesday, August 9, Primary, below are the results for the area County Commissioner seats.

The top two vote recipients in each district will compete at the General Election for the County Commissioner’s seats this fall. This year’s election will be held on Tuesday, November 8th.

Jackson County Commissioner District 1 seat:

Candidate David “Scott” McClure received 79 votes. Richard Erickson received 57 and Harvey Kruger received 34. McClure and Erickson will be on the ballot in November.

Jackson County Commissioner District 5 seat:

Candidate Jim Eigenberg led all candidates with over 52% of the votes. Eigenberg received 190 votes. Wayne S. Rasche received 89 and John Hay tallied 78. Eigenberg and Rasche will compete in November for the seat.

Jackson County Commissioner District 3 seat:

Candidate Cathy Hohenstein received 136 votes, candidate Albert Henning received 62 and candidate Carl Driggins received 28. Hohenstein and Henning will compete in November.

Nobles County Commissioner District 1 seat:

Candidate Justin Ahlers received 140 votes, incumbent Marvin L. Zylstra received 122 votes, Keith R. Stubbe received 59 votes and Tom Hendel received 28 votes. Ahlers and Zylstra will be on the ballot in November.
