The Okabena City Council held a Public Hearing regarding the Okabena Municipal Liquor Store prior to their regular council meeting on July 16, 2012. The Mayor spoke briefly about the auditor’s report which shows a loss of $7500 due to auditor adjustments for inventory and depreciation. We have cut our loss in half from the previous year, made changes to cut expenses and are working to keep the margin at 47- 50%. On a positive note, we have increased our working capital. Comments were made stating that Melanie and Tom are doing a good job. Being no further discussion or comments, the meeting was adjourned. The Regular Council Meeting was brought to order.
