Lois Behrens | Sunday, July 29th at 9:30 a.m., Lois Behrens from Okabena will be recognized as the Outstanding Senior Citizen of Jackson County at the Jackson County Fair. |
| On Sunday, July 29th at 9:30 a.m., Lois Behrens from Okabena will be recognized as the Outstanding Senior Citizen of Jackson County at the Jackson County Fair. Lois was nominated because of her involvement in the community and in school programs, such as concerts and ball games. The nomination was followed by an interview, in order to select the representative from Jackson County. The title fits Lois well; the main criterion is based on being an active member in the community and volunteer time. Lois has spent her time helping with local food shelves, hair dressing at Lakeview Assisted Living, working at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Okabena, assisting with the 125th town celebration, up keeping church flowers, and attending numerous high school ball games and activities.
