SSC Hershey Track Participants | Congratulations to the following Hershey Track State Champions |
| Congratulations to the following Hershey Track State Champions: Alyssa Post, the 200m dash champion, Nathaniel Post, the 400m dash champion and the 4 x 100m relay team champions of Matthew Madsen, Hobie Hedquist, Dalton Henning and Nathaniel Post for being # 1 at the Hershey's State Track and Field meet held Saturday, June 23 at the Gustavus Track in St. Peter, Minnesota. We also had five athletes that were State runners-up. Earning second place were Eli Fest and Tessla Crowell in the softball throw, Nathaniel Post in the 100m, Rachel Salentiny in the 800m run and the girls (11 - 12) 4 x 100m relay of Alyssa Post, Cheyenne Schaffer, Taylor Johanning and Tessla Crowell. On Saturday, June 23, the SSC athletes made their trip up to the State meet in St. Peter. They had a lot of success. Almost everyone placed in at least one of their events and they were awarded State Hershey ribbons down to 8th place. The field events began first with the boys softball throw. For the (9-10) boys, Eli Fest took 2nd place overall with a throw of 120'10”, with Brandon Hinkeldey 7th 108'5 1/2” and Dalton Henning 8th 108'10 1/2”. Ethan Becker (11-12) placed 3rd with a throw of 142'9 1/2”.
