| Talented people of ALL ages, and ALL genres, are needed to share their talents at the Jackson County Fair Talent Contest, Saturday July 31, 2010. Prizes are awarded to the top three winners of each category: Preteen: 12 and under; Teen: 13-18; Open: any age. All first place winners at the county fair level advance to the Minnesota State Fair Amateur Talent Contest at the Minnesota State Fair which runs August 26 through Labor Day, September 6, 2010. Time limit for a performance is 4 minutes. Vocalists may use recorded accompaniment, provided it contains instrumental accompaniment ONLY; NO vocals are allowed on the recording. For vocal acts, contestants will be disqualified if accompaniment has vocals of any kind. Parents, please be sure your child’s selection is AGE APPROPRIATE! Registration deadline is July 27.
